A Crisis We Can No Longer Ignore
In the quiet aftermath of the global pandemic, an invisible crisis continues to unfold—one not captured in headlines, but written in the eyes of children across cities, villages, and forgotten corners of our country.
While adults rushed back to work, reopened markets, and resumed life, millions of children were left in the shadows of disrupted schooling, emotional isolation, and crumbling support systems. At the Neera Loomba Foundation, we have seen this pain firsthand—and we believe silence is no longer an option.
The Lost Classrooms
When schools shut down, education moved online—but not every child followed.
Lack of internet access, learning materials, and guidance meant that a vast number of underprivileged children simply fell out of the system. Months without structured learning have left them years behind, not just in academics, but in confidence and hope.
And while the world celebrates AI and technology, these children still long for a chalkboard and a teacher who sees them.
Mental Health: A Silent Emergency
Isolation isn’t just physical—it’s emotional.
The lockdown years took a toll on young minds. Anxiety, withdrawal, aggression, and hopelessness began to surface in children as young as eight. Yet mental health remains an unspoken taboo in many communities.
Without intervention, these wounds will not heal on their own. They will grow, mutate, and carry forward into adulthood. At NLF, we believe early emotional care is not optional—it’s essential.
Hunger & Health: A Stunted Generation
For many children, school was also their only source of nutrition. With mid-day meals halted and healthcare access strained, malnourishment surged. Immunity weakened. Routine checkups vanished. Minor illnesses turned major.
Even today, many rural families struggle to bring their children back to health—not for lack of love, but for lack of access.
What NLF Is Doing—And What You Can Too
At the Neera Loomba Foundation, we’re working tirelessly to reach those children left behind—through educational drives, emotional wellness programs, nutritional aid, and mobile medical checkups.
But this mission needs more than just an organization. It needs YOU.
A donation, a shared story, a few hours volunteered—every act of support creates a ripple in a child’s world.
Let’s Not Move On Without Them
Children are resilient—but they shouldn’t have to be this much.
As we rebuild a post-pandemic world, let’s not leave behind the very generation meant to carry it forward.
